Solution
The objective of this project was to develop a platform that aligned with the client’s core operational requirements: conducting regular online and live auctions for coin collectors and dealers, managing a high volume of listings, and ensuring a reliable, transparent bidding process. Previously, the client relied on third-party platforms, which offered limited flexibility and lacked the functionality required to support the specific workflows of numismatic auctions — including lot setup, real-time engagement, and payment coordination.
We delivered a web-based solution that consolidates the entire auction lifecycle within a single system. Auction organizers are now able to create detailed listings that include historical context and grading information, track auction activity in real time, and oversee user registration and payment operations through a centralized administrative interface. The bidding functionality was designed for real-time performance — a critical requirement in fast-paced auctions where timing can significantly influence results.
Additionally, the platform introduced a digital cataloging process, enabling the client to build and maintain an expanding archive of both current and historical lots. By integrating real-time bidding capabilities with catalog and administrative management features, the software now facilitates end-to-end auction operations — from initial event setup through transaction completion and post-auction user activity tracking.
